Oral B iO Series 7 By Braun electric toothbrush review

On a scale from 1 to 10, we are giving the Oral B iO Series 7 electric toothbrush a solid 7.

The Oral-B iO Series 7 is a very efficient device with a lot of options and setups, it does a great job at cleaning your teeth and gums, but it is not the best value option.

Not only the toothbrush itself is expensive, but the brush head replacements are also pricey and you can’t simply use another model brush head since it is only compatible with iO brush heads.

The level of performance is really good, but there are less expensive models that offer the same cleaning performance, like the Oral-B Pro 1000.

If you are convinced you want to try a state-of-the-art electric toothbrush, we recommend you to try the upgraded versions of this model: the Oral-B iO series 8 (our favorite) or the Oral-B iO series 9.

Pros

  • It comes with 5 cleaning modes: Daily clean, white, gum care, sensitive and intense.
  • It comes with a 2 minutes timer and a 30 seconds pacer to remind you when you should move to another quadrant of your mouth.
  • It comes with a pressure sensor and a visible ring light around the top of the handle that lights up in red when you’re brushing too hard and green when you’re brushing hard enough.
  • It comes with an integrated screen that shares information and motivates you to brush correctly.
  • It comes with Bluetooth and AI technology that monitors your brushing habits and gives you feedback on how to improve your brushing routine in real-time.
  • The mobile App is very intuitive and easy to use.
  • It’s a powerful toothbrush that will give you the sensation you get after a professional dental cleaning.
  • Battery life lasts around 12 days.
  • It comes with wireless fast charging.
  • This model is a little bit quiet than previous Oral-B models.
  • It has an elegant design that makes it look fancy and stylish.
  • It comes with a basic travel case.

Cons

  • It could be too powerful for sensitive teeth and gums, if that’s the case we recommend using the sensitive cleaning mode.
  • Only compatible with iO Brush heads which are pricey.
  • iO Brush heads are a bit complicated to clean due to design.
  • The mobile App is not 100% accurate, it could be better optimized.
  • It’s an expensive toothbrush, there are better value options available.
