Oral-B Water Flosser Advanced – Honest product review

On a scale from 1 to 10, we are giving the Oral-B Water Flosser Advanced a solid 6.

The Oral-B Water Flosser Advanced is a good device but is not the best, while its performance is enough to clean your gums and teeth, there are better options out there, especially if we consider the price.

The Oral-B Advances is a good option for travelers due to its portability, it would be a good complement to your regular oral hygiene routine, but if traveling is not a frequent activity for you, a countertop water flosser could offer you a higher performance, our personal recommendation is the Waterpik Aquarius.

If you still prefer a cordless water flosser, you can read more about the Oral-B Advanced down below, just keep in mind that cordless water flossers are not as powerful as countertop water flossers.

Pros

  • It’s a cordless device so you can still move around while flossing, yet, we recommend you stay in front of the sink.
  • It has a rechargeable battery, and even though Oral-b doesn’t specify this, we got 40 sessions on a single full charge, which equals 40 days of use if used once per day.
  • It has 3 intensity modes so you can regulate the water pressure that’s best for you: intense, medium, and sensitive.
  • It has 3 different water streams: focused stream, rotational stream, and jet stream; though the difference is minimal.
  • You can choose between continuous streams (constant water flow) or on-demand streams (water flows only while you push a button).
  • The water reservoir offers around 40 and 45 seconds of use which is very nice for a cordless device.
  • The design makes it ideal for travelers.

Cons

  • The battery is a Nickel Metal Hydride instead of a Lithium-Ion battery and is not user removable.
  • It takes around 12 hours to be fully charged.
  • The design is not ergonomic and can be hard to rotate inside the mouth.
  • The buttons’ placement isn’t convenient since it’s easy to press the on/off button instead of the on-demand stream button.
  • The charging stand is bulky.
  • It is marketed as a travel water flosser but doesn’t include a travel case.
  • It’s expensive for the performance it has to offer, and definitely not the best value option.
