On a scale from 1 to 10, we are giving the Oral-B Pro 1000 CrossAction a solid 7.
After 3 weeks of testing the toothbrush, we have some interesting pros and cons, we would like to share with you.
Pros
- It’s a fairly simple device, easy to use, very intuitive, and straightforward.
- It’s ideal for someone who wants to try an electric toothbrush for the first time.
- Brush heads are small which makes them very comfortable to use, the brush is also compatible with almost all models of Oral-B head brushes out there.
- It is quite a powerful brush and it gives you a mouth sensation similar to what you feel after professional teeth cleaning.
- It has pressure sensors that notify you when you are exerting too much pressure, that way you avoid hurting your gums.
- It has a timer that lets you know when to move the brush to another area and when you have brushed your teeth for at least 2 minutes.
- It has all the basics for a proper deep dental cleaning session.
- The battery lasts around 7 days on a single charge which makes it appropriate for short trips.
- The build quality is solid yet light and comfortable to carry around.
- It has a fairly affordable price and excellent value for money.
- It’s an ADA (American Dental Association) approved electric toothbrush.
Cons
- It’s a very powerful brush and might not be the best option for people with sensitive gums since it only has one cleaning mode (Daily Clean).
- It is quite a noisy device as the brush motor generates quite a loud noise, this could be a nuisance for noise-sensitive people.
- It takes around 20 hours for it to be fully charged.
- Even if battery life lasts around 7 days on a single charge, it might not be enough for someone who is constantly going on long trips since it doesn’t come with a travel charging case.
- It’s such a basic device without many options that are already available for fancier toothbrushes like various cleaning modes to better adapt to your needs.
