It not only does its job, but it does it in a very exceptional way, it is highly efficient in removing plaque and superficial stains, yet it is still delicate enough to take care of the most sensitive smiles.
The improvement in gums and teeth health is noticeable after only a week of using the Philips Sonicare 9500 and the fact that it comes with a variety of setups to customize your brushing experience makes it almost perfect.
We say “almost” because the Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart 9500 toothbrush is quite a pricy device, with its price starting at around 250$ it is too expensive for most people, yet, if you want to invest that amount of money in your oral health, we believe it is worth the money.
Pros of the Philips Sonicare 9500
- The Philips 9500 comes with 5 cleaning modes: Clean, deep clean, gum health, white, and tongue care; and you can use each cleaning mode with 3 different intensity levels (you can actually feel a noticeable difference in each mode).
- It comes with a pressure sensor that incorporates a light indicator to let you know when you are brushing too hard by lighting up in purple while also slowing down the toothbrush to avoid damaging your teeth.
- It incorporates a timer and a quadrant pacer to let you know when you’ve been brushing long enough and through the app, it will tell you when it’s time to move to another area of your mouth.
- Sonicare 9500 comes with 4 different smart brush heads: Plaque removal, gum care, whitening, and tongue scraper; and the handle can differentiate between them and automatically switch to the correspondent cleaning mode (you still can switch modes manually by pressing the second button on the handle), plus, smart brush heads will notify you when it’s time to replace them (it would be approximately every 3 months).
- The Philips 9500 toothbrush has an ergonomic, sleek, and lightweight design that makes it look elegant in your bathroom, but its appearance is not the most relevant thing about the design, for us, the most outstanding characteristic of its design is its functionality, it’s easy to hold, use, and understand; it has two buttons, one to turn it on/off, and one to change the intensity levels and cleaning modes; under the buttons, you’ll find led indicators for each cleaning mode so you always know which setup you chose, let’s remember the cleaning modes switch automatically depending on the brush head you choose to make it even easier.
- It uses wireless charging and the charging base consists of a small metal base with an elegant glass cup on top, you just have to place the handle on the cup and it will charge safely.
- Battery life lasts around 20 days on a single charge if you use it twice per day, which is fairly outstanding considering all the smart features this device incorporates.
- The smart features allow you to track your brushing habits, and provide real-time coaching and long-term reports on how to improve your brushing routine.
- It includes an elegant, high-quality travel case that allows you to store the handle and two brush heads; the travel case also works as a charger.
- Although it makes some noise, it is still quieter than most electric toothbrushes.
